pilot birdie

pilot birdie. while it was a common pen, it is now increasing becoming very rare. Once, it was selling at sgd20, and now the highest asking price is USD200! i gotten 2 of them back in year 1992, a red and a black, and one more later around year 2005. recently, i had acquired another 4 NOS meant for keeping.
this pen was japan's answer to parker 25, another short and small pen. i was going to say no other modern pen is smaller and shorter than this, when, just yesterday, my advisor got me a new and selling model which at first glance, i thought no way it can be a FP, for it is half the size of a birdie. stay tuned.

  1. I remember having one of these all those years ago. A little scratchy (didnt know then that nib could be adjusted). I do remember it didnt stay very long with me. Just too small to be held comfortable for long period.
