Parker Vector millennium edition

it took a long long time for me to finally find out why a parker vector make in UK, as printed on the cap, has a silver nib and a gold clip and is a very well built pen. usually when you google for a parker vector with gold clip, india-made version appears. we all know the quality difference.

this UK version is a special edition to celebrate the millennium. it was made in 1999 to 2000 and limited numbers were made as it is not popular. because it is easily mistaken for the india-version, quite a small number survive, not to mention one in mint condition. This was from a reliable source whom knows parker like the back of his hand and sold them before.

I bought it without knowing it is a treasure and had tossed it into my vault for a long time. now to categorize it.

one vector to rule them all !

Parker 75 premier chinese laque set

Parker : specially for you. Proudly welcomed by the gold and silver 75s'  at the front door,  the Parker 75 premier chinese laque set in mint (unused, non-inked, non-embarassed) condition enters the family.

introduced in 1983, it features a 18K gold nib which is different from the normal 75 14k gold nib. The pen was also longer and wider than the 75 and sported a new, faceted cap band and had two black onyx jewels at the ends. The chinese laque is the fourth made accordingly.

I managed to get this at collector's price, not speculator price, after the previous owner knew that this pen will be kept clean, safe and sound in my vault for as long as i still function (or as long as jarvis does).

it is a beauty, period.

pelikan stand and parker vintage ink

The day when the pelikan loses. I heard this Parker ink is a vintage legend. Anyway, the legend is now going into the vault.

Hero 373-2

well, i have being fighting with this fountain pen, the hero 372-2 for the past 2 weeks. literally fighting. probably the first idiot in history fighting with a fountain pen, and losing countless rounds until today i came out victorious.
a simple but elegant pen, but getting that nib off the feed so that i can decide if it can be the next candidate for my EDC, is something which i had to dig out an old tool and recollect how it is used.
besides it is my previous EDC pen, the hero 373. regrettably i have being promoting its merits, and now it is out of stock in my area. i am considering if this 372-2, which costs $2 more, will be a good replacement for my hero 373 when i finished using all the 40+ pieces left in the vault...eh....probably i should just move on to the 373 after this EDC.
