Home Supplies - fountain pen

[Update: 29Nov : a fatal flaw in this pen : http://pen-vault-ink-cellar.blogspot.sg/2016/11/home-and-office-supplies-fountain-pen.html]

this is probably more for the singapore folks.....

seems like another office supplies store, called home offices, has started to sell their own fountain pen. that's good news for the overall fountain pen community as a whole.

in a nutshell, they look nice, writes nice when i tested their testing unit. it has full potential to be made into a eyedropper as shown. Lastly, the nib is the most interesting. it reminds me a cheap sailor pen that daiso used to sell. this pen's nib and feed looks the same (not similar, but same). it doesn't come with a converter.

you do need to check the pen before purchase. a lot of them, especially the white ones, their nib and feed unit are misaligned. it might affect the workflow. a bit of tweaking is required.

lastly, it is $2SGD. thus, i can't really complain much.

I do not know how long this pen will be available in the market, so, i gotten 5 for archival purposes. 4 of them should be going straight into the vault.

monami olika

technically, these pens aren't really collectors pens. also, since they are wick based, i don't consider them to be strictly fountain pens. however, they are a part of the fp history, they are acquired and going into the vault.

one big plus point though about this pen is the wick can be removed for easier cleaning. one big minus is the rubber grip which can turn sticky. well, i got that covered with my solution of preventing it turning sticky.
